Animated search banners for Glueguide
Wide 1280×490 animated banners for Glueguide, a site for finding and rating building products. A search bar types real questions — “Best glue for wood?”, “waterproofing membrane” — before the Glueguide logo lands with “Find the right glue — every time!” and an Explore Now button.
The problem
The site’s value is its search, so the banners had to show a search happening and the answer arriving, in a strip only 490 pixels tall.
Our approach
- 01Animated a voice-and-text search bar that types a product question, then collapses into the search button and the Glueguide logo.
- 02Used two taglines across the cuts — “Find the right glue — every time!” and “find and rate the best building products”.
- 03In the 25-second cut, added before-and-after room illustrations and the tradespeople from the Glueguide character loops.
The results
Three banner cuts at 1280×490: 25, 13 and 12 seconds.
