Who it’s for
Who logo animation is for
YouTube channels and creators
An intro that tells viewers what the channel covers before the first video starts, like the 16-second kinetic-type opener we made for the PXC health and fitness channel.
Brands launching or refreshing
A settled logo that now needs to move: in a launch film, a product video or the first and last frame of every ad.
Platforms with an abstract mark
When the logo alone doesn’t say what you do, the reveal can. BlockStation’s intro lands its four steps (list, trade, clear, settle) before the mark resolves.
Agencies and video editors
A clean reveal with an alpha channel that drops straight into your edit, so nobody rebuilds a logo from a flattened PNG.
Our approach
What a good logo reveal does
A static logo pasted onto the first frame of a video looks unfinished next to competitors whose marks move. A good reveal fixes that in a few seconds, and because it is built once and reused everywhere, it is one of the cheapest ways to make a brand look deliberate.
The craft is in restraint. Most reveals that feel cheap are doing too much: particles for the sake of it, a whoosh on every element, a last frame that never quite settles. We start from the mark’s own geometry (the drawn stroke of Snow White’s tooth-shaped S, the beetle emblem in Dore’s logo) and build one confident gesture from it, so the motion feels like it was always part of the identity.
If your identity is still changing, animate it later. Motion built on a mark that is about to change is money spent twice, and we will tell you that on the call.

Process
How a logo animation project runs
Typical timeline: 1-2 weeks.
- 01Days 1-2
Brief and mark check
We collect your vector logo, colors and where the reveal will play, then check the mark at small sizes and on dark and light grounds.
- 02Days 2-4
Motion concept
One or two directions shown as style frames with rough timing: a flat sting, a richer cinematic take, or both, as we made for Dore.
- 03Days 4-8
Animation
The logo is rebuilt as clean vector layers and animated on a single timeline, so every cut shares the same motion.
- 04Days 8-10
Review
You review real renders, not descriptions. The written scope fixes the number of revision rounds before work starts.
- 05Final 1-2 days
Masters and handover
Every format and aspect ratio rendered, the last frame checked against your brand files, and the project file handed over.
Proof
Logo animation work
Four reveals from the archive, each built from the client’s existing mark: two moods for Dore, a drawn stroke for Snow White, a four-step explainer for BlockStation and a type-led channel intro for PXC.

FAQ
Logo animation questions
How much does logo animation cost?
Logo animation starts from $900 for a single reveal with landscape and square masters, a short loop, transparent files and the project file. A second creative direction, 3D or illustrated builds, extra formats or a rush timeline raise the price. You get a fixed quote in writing after a free call.
How long does a logo animation take?
Usually one to two weeks from brief to final files: a few days for the concept, about a week of animation, then review and rendering. If you have a launch date, tell us on the first call and we will confirm honestly whether we can hit it.
What files do you need from us?
Your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF), your brand colors and fonts if you have them, and a note on where the reveal will play. A PNG or JPG can work, but we rebuild it as vectors first, which adds time.
Which formats will I receive?
An MP4 for everyday use, a transparent version (ProRes 4444 or WebM with alpha) for editors and websites, square and vertical cuts for social, and the After Effects project file. GIF or Lottie JSON are available when the reveal is going on a website or into an app.
How long should a logo reveal be?
For a YouTube or video intro, three to seven seconds is usually enough: viewers came for the video, not the logo. Longer pieces work when the reveal also explains something. BlockStation’s 19-second intro walks through the platform’s four steps before the mark lands. We cut a short sting from the same timeline for ads.
Can you add sound?
We time the animation to clear beats so sound sits on it naturally, and we can lay in a sound effect or music track you have licensed. If you need audio sourced for you, we list it separately in the scope.
Can you design the logo as well?
Yes, through our brand identity service. We recommend settling the logo first: animating a mark that is about to change means paying for the motion twice.
Do we own the animation?
Yes. On full payment, everything we make specifically for you is yours: the rendered files and the project file. Use them in videos, ads, presentations and on your website.
