Who it’s for

Who our motion work is for

Our approach

Designed for the crop, and for mute

Most social video is watched without sound, and most of it is cropped. A spot made for 16:9 with a voiceover, then squeezed into 9:16, loses its headline and its point. We design for the tightest crop first and build every scene so the message reads with the sound off; sound is a bonus, never the crutch.

We also build the edit on a beat grid with a modular scene library. That is what lets one concept become a 21-second spot, a 10-second cut and a 6-second bumper, as with the six Steralth cuts, and what makes the second spot cheaper than the first.

Our work is animation: motion design, illustration, character animation and kinetic type, built in After Effects. If your idea genuinely needs a film crew, we will say so on the call.

Deliverables

What you get, and in which formats

Concept and script
A one-page concept, the script or on-screen copy, and a storyboard before animation starts
Style frames
Two or three designed frames that fix the look before anything moves
Animated spot
6-60 seconds for ads, longer for explainers; 1920×1080 masters, 4K on request
Every aspect ratio
16:9, 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16, re-composed for each frame so nothing important is cropped
Cut-downs
Shorter versions, for example 15, 10 and 6 seconds, from the same timeline
Captions and safe areas
Captions designed in, with text kept clear of platform buttons and overlays
Still fallbacks
Key frames exported as images for placements that don’t take video
Source files
After Effects projects and assets, handed over at the end

Process

How a motion graphics project runs

Typical timeline: 2-4 weeks per spot.

  1. 01Days 1-2

    Brief

Goal, audience, placements and the one thing a viewer must remember.

  2. 02Days 2-5

    Script and storyboard

We write or tighten the script and board every scene against the shortest cut.

  3. 03Days 5-7

    Style frames

Designed frames for approval, so the look is fixed before animation.

  4. 04Weeks 2-3

    Animation

Scenes animated on a beat grid, with captions designed in from the start.

  5. 05Final days

    Cuts and delivery

Every aspect ratio and cut-down rendered, checked on real phones and delivered with the source files.

FAQ

Motion graphics questions

How much does a motion graphics video cost?

Animated spots start from $1,500 for a 6-60 second piece with concept, storyboard, captions and vertical, square and landscape cuts. Length, character animation, custom illustration and the number of versions move the price. You get a fixed quote in writing after a free call.

How long does an animated video ad take?

Two to four weeks per spot is typical: about a week for the script, storyboard and style frames, one to two weeks of animation, then cuts and delivery. Cut-downs from an existing spot are much faster.

Do you write the script?

Yes. We write the script and on-screen copy from your brief, or tighten one you already have. Either way the storyboard is agreed before animation starts, so nothing is animated twice.

Which sizes and aspect ratios do you deliver?

Whatever your placements need: usually 16:9 (1920×1080), 1:1 (1080×1080), 4:5 and 9:16 (1080×1920) for stories and reels, plus wide banner sizes for display. Each one is composed for its frame rather than cropped from the 16:9 master.

Can you make videos in other languages?

Yes. The Labseven explainer in our portfolio was produced in Italian. We work from your translated script, keep on-screen text short and boxed so it reads in any language, and ask who on your side will check the translation.

What is the difference between motion graphics and an explainer video?

An explainer is one kind of motion graphics: a longer piece, often a minute or two, that walks through a problem and a solution. Motion graphics also covers short ads, product animations, animated banners and social loops. We make all of them with the same process.

Do you do character animation?

Yes. The Glueguide loops and the healthcare awareness banners in our portfolio are both character-led, and our founder’s background includes 2D and 3D character animation. Tell us what you have in mind and we will say honestly whether it fits.

Will the video work without sound?

It is designed to. Every scene carries its message in type and image, captions are part of the design from the start, and sound is added on top, so the spot still works muted in a feed.
