Product spec animation for a sportswear baselayer
A minimal spec animation for a black-on-grey sportswear baselayer: thin white type on black and two slider scales (Fit, from fitted to loose, and Fabric, from rigid to stretch) easing into place to show where the garment sits. Cut for stories and feed posts.
The problem
Fit and fabric feel are hard to show in a product photo. The animation had to communicate both in a few seconds, legibly on a phone.
Our approach
- 01Reduced the layout to the product name and two labelled scales, so there is nothing to read except the answer.
- 02Animated the slider dots travelling to their positions, with the type assembling letter by letter around them.
- 03Laid the same animation out for 9:16 stories (1080×1920) and the taller 1500×1950 feed format.
The results
Six cuts: a full 21-second version plus faster 10-second and 6-second versions, each at 1500×1950 and 1080×1920.
